We are currently recruiting for a Stock Office Team Leader to join our customer support team at our facility located in Holmewood.

This role will heavily focus on actively supporting the wider Management Team with the day-to-day operation by ensuring an efficient performance in achieving business targets.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630

Salary Range: £29,376 - £36,720 depending on experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

People Management

  • Manage the Stock Team’s routine, ensuring night processes and housekeeping is carried out.
  • Manage time and attendance for team members, taking responsibility for people management issues e.g. Investigations, absence reviews.
  • Communicate regularly with the team, looking at targets and operational requirements.
  • Regular meetings with the team to ensure views and thoughts are heard and supported.
  • Support with recruitment as and when needed, and organise onboarding.
  • Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Operations Support Manager.
  • Promote and engage with all site initiatives i.e., Health and Safety Meeting, You Said We Did meetings, and Company Events.
  • Maintain clear communication lines between cold store, office, and senior management.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage the site shared inbox, ensuring email queries are answered in an appropriate time frame.
  • Attend customer calls and support in building and maintaining good relationships.
  • Provide alternative solutions to support timely service to our customers and be the first line of escalation.
  • Ensure customer communication is upheld within the team and regularly give updates to customers on load status across both day and night shifts.

Self-Management

  • Support change and continuous improvement within the team and site.
  • Engage interest and participation of others and demonstrate a collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Promote a ‘can do’ attitude with an open and honest approach to commit to the teams’ development.

General

  • Have a hands-on role and support the team by answering queries and undertaking stock investigations when required.
  • Take ownership of site functions e.g., Site POs, PPE management, stationary, and stock replenishment.

What are we looking for?

  • Great people skills, confident in managing people and cultivating a strong team ethic.
  • Occasional flexibility in working schedule to enable time to be spent with the PM shifts.
  • Experience in warehousing inventory control and/or distribution environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Professional customer services and organisation skills.
  • Strong eye for attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player with the ability to use your own initiative.
  • PC Literate including Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of customer care in shipping and transportation preferred but not essential.
