Retail Advisor / Stocktaker

About the Role

Are you a Bar Manager, Pub Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor in the h Hospitality industry seeking a better work-life balance?

[n]Generation is recruiting either an experienced Stocktake Auditor / Stock-taker Advisor, or a hospitality professional with management or supervisory experience and knowledge of Wet and Dry Stocktaking in bars,pubs, or restaurants.

This role involves far more than just stocktaking. As a [Stocktake Advisor / Retail Advisor], you’ll build long-term client relationships while delivering professional advice and operational support tailored to hospitality businesses—in addition to performing stocktaking duties.

Job Overview

[n]Generation offers a fully trained role for professionals with h hospitality management or supervisory experience—regardless of whether you have formal stocktake experience.

  • Work for leading restaurants, pubs, bars, and retail entertainment venues across Doncaster and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct regular Wet and Dry stocktakes and analysing stocktaking results.
  • Run stocktake reports via EPoS (additional training provided) to help businesses optimize stock management and improve profitability.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients based on stock utilisation and performance insights.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £26,500–£28,500 per annum (based on experience) + competitive mileage allowance.

Location & Requirements

  • Full-time role with essential travel within designated areas.
  • Mandatory requirement: Must have access to your own vehicle.

Essential Skills & Experience

You need strong experience in one of the following roles (or equivalent hospitality management background with stocktaking exposure):

  • Assistant Restaurant Manager
  • Hospitality Manager
  • Pub / Bar Manager
  • Supervisor

Must also meet the following criteria:

  • EPoS experience (stocktaking reports, adding inventory items).
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and administrative skills.
  • Customer service and communication skills—these are vital for client relationships.
  • PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • A sound understanding of stock yields and stock depletion.
