Sigma Sports | Hampton Wick Flagship Store

This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to keep a store running. We're looking for a strong, commercially minded Store Manager who wants to take real ownership of one of Sigma Sports' most important retail locations. Hampton Wick is our flagship store and represents everything Sigma Sports stands for – premium products, expert knowledge and an exceptional customer experience. We need a leader who can bring those things together with strong commercial performance, high standards and a team that knows what great looks like.

The Opportunity

As Store Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the performance of the Hampton Wick store. You'll lead the team, drive sales and profitability, create an outstanding customer experience and make sure the store operates to consistently high standards. You'll be expected to know your numbers, understand what's driving performance and take action. You'll have the freedom to lead your store – and the accountability that comes with it.

What You'll Own

  • Sales and commercial performance of the store.
  • Store profitability and margin performance.
  • Customer experience, conversion and average transaction value.
  • Leadership, coaching and development of your team.
  • People productivity and effective staffing.
  • Stock availability, accuracy and merchandising.
  • Store presentation and operational standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Creating clear actions when performance is off track.
  • Building a high-performing, accountable store culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an established retail leader who is comfortable being accountable for results. You'll ideally bring:

  • Strong Store Manager or senior retail management experience.
  • A proven track record of delivering commercial results.
  • Confidence working with sales, margin, conversion and productivity measures.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
  • The ability to challenge poor performance and raise standards.
  • Strong operational and stock management experience.
  • Excellent customer service instincts.
  • Commercial curiosity – you'll want to understand why something is happening, not just report the number.
  • The confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across a wider business.
  • Cycling knowledge would be a real advantage, but strong retail leadership is what matters most.

How We'll Measure Success

Store performance is measured across five key areas:

  • Sales Performance – Are we delivering the sales expected from the store?
  • Profitability – Are we making the right level of profit from those sales?
  • Customer & Commercial Performance – Are we making the most of every customer opportunity?
  • People & Store Productivity – Are we using our people and capacity effectively?
  • Operational & Stock Performance – Is the store being properly managed and maintained?

We don't expect our Store Managers simply to report numbers. We expect them to understand what's driving them and know what they're doing about it.

Why Sigma Sports?

Sigma Sports has been part of the cycling community since 1992. You'll be leading our flagship Hampton Wick store, working with some of the world's leading cycling brands and a team with genuine expertise and passion for the sport.

We offer:

  • 33 days' annual leave, including bank holidays.
  • Generous staff discount across premium cycling products.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • In-house Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Excellent staff facilities including showers and secure bike storage.
  • The opportunity to lead one of the most recognised stores in the cycling industry.
