Store Manager – Oxford

Exclusive Executive Search Partnership with OBM Consultancy

Reports to: UK Retail Manager

Location: Oxford

The Role

OBM Consultancy is supporting a distinctive British contemporary lifestyle brand in the exclusive search for a Store Manager to lead its Oxford boutique.

The Store Manager will have full accountability for the boutique’s daily operations, commercial performance and team development. The role requires a hands-on retail leader who can maximise sales and profitability while delivering exceptional customer service, visual presentation and operational standards.

The successful candidate will also act as a true ambassador for the brand’s culture and values, developing the team to consistently deliver the same high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the boutique and all operational functions.
  • Deliver sales, payroll, stock-management and profitability targets.
  • Manage operational costs within agreed budgets.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience through personal leadership and team development.
  • Maintain the highest visual merchandising and brand-presentation standards.
  • Manage stock commercially to balance strong sales performance with an inspiring boutique environment.
  • Provide detailed feedback to relevant head-office teams regarding stock performance and client demand.
  • Maintain an efficient, secure and well-organised back-of-house operation.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop a high-performing team.
  • Create succession opportunities through continuous coaching and development.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, with strong attention to risk assessment and housekeeping.
  • Work closely with key head-office functions to support store performance.
  • Represent the brand’s culture and values through consistently professional behaviour and presentation.
