Role Description
This full-time, on-site Store Manager role is based in Basingstoke. The Store Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, effective merchandising, and a safe, welcoming environment. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing the store team
- Overseeing stock levels
- Handling cash and daily reporting
- Implementing company policies and retail standards
- Monitoring sales performance
- Driving commercial results
- Managing loss prevention measures
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
The role also involves working closely with regional leaders to deliver store targets, support local farming and rural communities, and uphold Mole Valley Farmers’ values.

Qualifications
- Ability to deliver strong Customer Service and maintain high Customer Satisfaction levels.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging customers, leading teams, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Experience in Store Management or similar retail leadership roles.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to minimise shrinkage and protect store assets.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets, manage budgets, and interpret performance reports.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working on-site, including some weekends and peak trading periods.
- Relevant supervisory or management qualifications, or equivalent experience in retail, are beneficial.
