Store Manager | Weston-super-Mare | Sports Retail | £35,000

Are you an experienced Store Manager or Retail Manager looking for your next challenge? Do you have a passion for sports, customer service and leading a high-performing team?

We're recruiting for a Store Manager in Weston-super-Mare for a successful and growing sports retailer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on manager to take ownership of a store, drive commercial performance and create an exceptional customer experience.

As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, leading your team, driving sales and ensuring high standards across customer service, visual merchandising and operations.

Store Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the store and store operations.
  • Drive sales performance and achieve KPI targets.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable shopping experiences.
  • Take ownership of store performance and commercial results.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop a high-performing retail team.
  • Create a positive and engaging store culture.
  • Ensure excellent visual merchandising and presentation standards.
  • Manage stock control, audits and operational compliance.
  • Use sales reports and commercial insight to identify opportunities and improve performance.
  • Lead from the front and be a visible presence on the shop floor.

About You

To be successful in this Store Manager role, you'll have previous experience as a Store Manager, Retail Manager, Branch Manager, Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager within a fast-paced retail environment.

You'll be:

  • A strong people leader with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Commercially focused with a track record of delivering sales and KPIs.
  • Passionate about customer service and creating great customer experiences.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working with both customers and colleagues.
  • Organised, proactive and highly motivated.
  • Hands-on and comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in on the shop floor.
  • Passionate about sports or have a genuine interest in the sports retail environment.
