Gym+Coffee is looking for an ambitious, energetic, and commercially driven Retail Manager to join our team in Belfast.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader who wants to play a key role in driving sales, profitability, team performance, and brand experience, while creating a store environment that reflects the values and energy of Gym+Coffee. Candidate must be flexible Monday to Sunday.

What you will be Responsible for

Store Management:

  • Support and drive the store business strategy through strong teamwork within the store and across the wider business
  • Empower team members to take initiative, solve problems, and identify opportunities for development.
  • Communicate information effectively to all parties, using appropriate language.
  • Support Senior Management by embracing change in a positive and enthusiastic manner, ensuring effective execution of initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a strong unique customer experience culture within the store.

People Management:

  • Assist in the hiring, onboarding, training, and developing of new team members.
  • Identify the training & development needs of your team, and seek opportunities for people to fulfil their potential.
  • Provide feedback on an employee’s performance through probation and the performance review cycle.
  • Encourage and recognize outstanding team performance to increase team motivation and store morale.

Commercial Awareness:

  • Take ownership of your store's commercial performance and understand the key drivers behind it.
  • Communicate daily sales targets and results, ensuring the whole team understands how they contribute.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and work with Senior Management to develop solutions.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide relevant feedback.
  • Maximise stock availability through effective replenishment.
  • Complete and analyse trade reports to support commercial decision-making.

Brand Experience:

  • Be a strong ambassador for the Gym+Coffee brand.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets through upselling and add-on sales.

Operations Management:

  • Manage store schedules and monitor team annual leave, ensure employee timecards are accurate and approved for payroll.
  • Support the Senior Management to ensure store operations are in line with brand expectations and company practice.
  • Ensure the store is a safe working environment by adhering to company H&S guidelines, reporting, and following up maintenance issues promptly.
  • Promote and deliver excellence in visual standards in-line with company guidelines and expectations.
  • Ensure all store banking and administration is reconciled each day in line with company procedures.

Stock Management:

  • Maintain best practice across the stock room and store office to ensure that all stock and administration is in line with company guidelines.
  • Comply with company policies regarding receipt of deliveries ensuring they are dealt with within a timely manner, minimising any stock loss impact on the store/business.
  • Protect stock and other company assets through promoting awareness of loss prevention within the team and through store compliance with security procedures.

  • Flexible and available to work Monday to Sunday.
