Role Description
The Store Manager role in Bath is a full-time, on-site position responsible for leading the store team and delivering an elevated client experience aligned with Gieves & Hawkes’ heritage. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Overseeing store operations
- Driving sales performance
- Managing staff scheduling
- Ensuring visual merchandising and brand standards are consistently met
- Monitoring stock levels
- Coordinating with head office on inventory and promotional activities
- Implementing retail loss prevention procedures

- Coaching and developing team members
- Handling customer inquiries and escalations
- Maintaining accurate reporting on store performance and KPIs
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to delivering a premium in-store experience.
- Proficiency in Store Management, including day-to-day operations, team leadership, and performance management in a retail environment.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, mentor team members, and collaborate with head office.
- Experience with Retail Loss Prevention, including monitoring procedures, training staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Previous experience in luxury or premium retail, ideally in fashion or tailoring, is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to analyze sales data, manage KPIs, and implement initiatives to drive revenue and profitability.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Relevant supervisory or management experience; formal retail or business qualifications are an advantage but not required.
