Role Description

The Store Manager role at ASDA in Dover is a full-time, on-site position responsible for leading all aspects of daily store operations. The Store Manager oversees staff scheduling, supervises team performance, and ensures shelves are fully stocked and merchandised to company standards. This role includes:

The Store Manager is accountable for maintaining high levels of customer service, addressing customer concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming shopping environment. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Implementing retail loss prevention measures
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety requirements
  • Coaching team members to support their professional growth

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-focused mindset with skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Effective Communication skills with the ability to interact clearly with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Experience in Store Management, including supervising teams, managing workflows, and meeting performance targets.
  • Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and procedures to reduce shrinkage and protect store assets.
  • Previous experience in retail management or a similar leadership role.
  • Ability to work full time on-site in Dover, with flexibility to cover weekends, evenings, and peak trading periods as needed.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in basic IT systems and point-of-sale tools; numeracy skills for handling reports and budgets.
  • Relevant vocational or academic qualifications in retail, business, or management are beneficial.
