Store Manager

The Store Manager reports directly to the Retail Director.

Responsibilities

Store Management & Animation

  • Comply with procedures and strategies established by management
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience while adhering to sales process steps
  • Manage external service providers operating within the boutique
  • Propose and implement in-store activations and promotional events to exceed targets
  • Uphold and protect brand image and standards
  • Train and coach the team (sales pitch, procedures, collections, materials, etc.)
  • Ensure top-tier boutique presentation standards (visual merchandising, dress code compliance, etc.)
  • Maintain store cleanliness, upkeep, and communal areas

Business & Commercial Management

  • Monitor sales and financial KPIs
  • Understand the boutique’s P&L and respect budget constraints
  • Proactively develop action plans to achieve sales targets
  • Process daily/weekly bank deposits
  • Produce weekly performance reports and establish action plans to optimize results

Human Capital & People Management

  • Manage FTEs (Full-Time Equivalents) and adapt staffing based on operational needs
  • Optimize team scheduling to prevent under- or overstaffing (leave management and approval)
  • Identify hiring needs and liaise with the HR department
  • Conduct recruitment interviews, onboarding, and offboarding in coordination with HR
  • Submit payroll variables within the deadlines specified by management
  • Create and optimize staff schedules
  • Conduct monthly 1-on-1 check-ins with team members and track progress
  • Set team and individual performance objectives
  • Conduct annual performance reviews within required deadlines
  • Intervene and alert the HR department regarding behavioral issues or policy breaches
  • Allocate and adjust retail staff based on Balzac Paris events, priorities, and boutique needs

Stock Management

  • Ensure stock levels are maintained, delivery schedules are adhered to and product rotation runs smoothly
  • Supervise rolling stock-takes
  • Ensure the seamless operation of the « Kiosque » service (click & collect, repairs, hot stamping, etc…).

Profile Required

You are organized and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A true leader, you have a strong commercial drive, a results-oriented mindset, and a taste for teamwork. You have prior experience as a Store Manager within a high-end ready-to-wear brand.
