Job Description
Clapham Cycle – Clapham Junction, Southwest London
Clapham Cycle is an established independent bike shop based in the heart of Clapham Junction. Since opening in 2021, we have built a loyal customer base and a friendly, knowledgeable team with a genuine enthusiasm for bikes and cycling.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for one or potentially two new people to bring fresh skills, experience and ideas to the business.
We Are Particularly Interested In Hearing From
- An experienced Store Manager—or someone ready to take the next step into management—who can help lead the day-to-day running of the shop, support the team and deliver excellent customer service.
- A Senior Workshop Mechanic with strong technical knowledge who can complete servicing and repairs to a high standard, confidently advise customers and help maintain an efficient, professional workshop.
We also welcome applications from mechanics at other stages of their careers. If you have a solid foundation, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for bikes, we would be very pleased to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
