Store Manager

We are looking for a Store Manager to work in our new store in Putney!

Location

London (Putney)

Hours

40hrs per week (5 days per week, between Monday – Sunday)

About the Role

The role would suit a high calibre individual currently working in the retail sector who has experience of managing a medium to large retail outlet, preferably in the consumer electronic or technology sectors.

This role would be ideal for a candidate who is looking to progress their career and be involved in growing our retail offer as part of a growing business and a dynamic team.

Goals and Objectives

  • Managing and motivating a team to increase sales, maximise profitability and ensure efficiency
  • Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales
  • Analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
  • Reporting on sales revenue, margin, footfall and other key performance indicators
  • Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development
  • Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
  • Adhering to our Retail Standards and ensuring exceptional results on store audits
  • Resolving or escalating health and safety and security issues
  • Responding to customer complaints and comments
  • Assisting with the organisation of special promotions, displays and events
  • Regularly promote our Click & Collect, rental and repair service offers
  • Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
  • Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing
  • Initiating changes to improve the business
  • Promoting the organisation locally by liaising with local businesses and the photographic community
  • Dealing with sales, as and when required
  • Attending other sites, meetings, exhibitions and training courses as and when required
  • Work in close harmony with all colleagues across all business departments at all times

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience of working in the retail sector, preferably in a large retailer in the consumer electronic or technology sector
  • Excellent customer service with an ethos for putting the customer at the heart of the proposition
  • Excellent people management skills and leadership style
  • Good organisational skills and be a finisher with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent written language skills; including spelling, grammar and vocabulary
  • Excellent time management skill with the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • A creative approach and be able to find innovative solutions to challenges
  • First class interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively across a wide variety of colleagues, suppliers and customers
  • The ability to prioritise work and switch between tasks without the need for close supervision
