Our Store
The Specsavers Port Talbot store is a busy and well-established optical and audiology practice located in the heart of the local community on Riverside, within easy reach of the town centre. Serving a diverse customer base, the store is committed to delivering exceptional eye care and hearing services through a welcoming, customer-focused environment. With a strong team culture, the store combines clinical excellence with outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer receives personalised support and professional advice. The location benefits from excellent public transport links, with Port Talbot Parkway railway station and the central bus station both just a short walk away, providing convenient access for those travelling from across the surrounding area. Colleagues work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting, using the latest technology and benefiting from ongoing training and development opportunities to help improve the lives of customers through better sight and hearing.

Our Team
The Specsavers Port Talbot team consists of around 25 colleagues who work together to create a supportive, professional, and customer-focused environment. The store brings together a diverse mix of optical assistants, dispensing opticians, audiology professionals, and clinical experts, all committed to delivering outstanding care and service. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, colleagues support one another to achieve shared goals while ensuring every customer receives a personalised and positive experience. The close-knit team culture encourages open communication, continuous learning, and career development, making the store an excellent place for both experienced professionals and those looking to grow their careers within Specsavers. The friendly atmosphere, combined with the expertise and dedication of a 25-strong team, helps create a rewarding and enjoyable workplace where everyone can thrive.

What We’re Looking For?
- Previous optical experience is essential
- A confident and effective communicator who can build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a busy environment
- A passionate people person with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Well organised, with strong time management skills
- Hard-working, proactive, and able to lead by example
- Previous team management experience is desirable but not essential. This role would be ideal for an experienced optical professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership skills within a supportive environment.
