Role & Responsibilities
As the Store Manager, you are the leader and business owner of your store, responsible for driving sales performance, delivering an elevated and seamless client experience, and building a strong, high-performing, and engaged team that reflects the Jenni Kayne brand. You oversee all aspects of the business, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with brand standards and policies while leading both strategically and hands-on from the sales floor. In this role, you set the tone for your team, cultivate a best-in-class customer experience, and take ownership of the business at all times.
Sales & Business Performance
- Own and drive store sales performance, consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals and KPIs
- Lead from the floor as a top-performing seller, prioritizing client experience and selling
- Deliver a consistent, elevated client experience that reflects the Jenni Kayne brand
- Analyze business trends and implement strategies to meet and exceed KPIs, drive foot traffic, and conversion
- Build and maintain a strong client base through outreach, follow-up, partnerships, and community engagement specific to your location
- Ensure strong floor coverage and lead the team in always providing seamless client support

- Recruit, hire, and retain top talent; build a high-performing and engaged store team
- Provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance management, including clear and actionable feedback that drives individual and team performance
- Create a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture that aligns with company values
- Oversee onboarding and training in partnership with the Director of Training and Education to ensure all team members are effectively supported, fully equipped for success, and consistently developed
Operations & Inventory Management
- Prioritize excellence in all operational processes, including inventory accuracy, stockroom organization, and fulfillment standards
- Own scheduling, payroll, and labor management aligning hours to business needs and productivity targets
- Ensure compliance with all operational procedures, including POS, cash handling, and loss prevention
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
- Partner with the Visual Lead (where applicable) to ensure elevated, consistent visual presentations that effectively execute the vision and directives established by the Vice President of Visual Merchandising
- Implement strong product presentation and storytelling across all categories while ensuring the Jenni Kayne aesthetic is maintained at all times
- Support and execute in-store events and visual storytelling initiatives that enhance customer engagement, drive sales performance, and foster client loyalty and repeat business
Client Experience & Community Engagement
- Act as a brand ambassador within your local market, fostering meaningful relationships and partnerships
- Lead and support on brand in-store events that drive traffic, client acquisition, and brand awareness
- Champion a culture where your team continually delivers an elevated client experience effectively communicating brand storytelling across all categories
- Foster client loyalty through effective clienteling utilizing the appropriate brand tools and guidelines

Communication & Leadership Alignment
- Communicate business insights, opportunities, and challenges to senior leadership in a clear and proactive manner
- Execute company initiatives and directives with consistency and accountability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate partners to support store success
- Lead by example, setting the tone for professionalism, accountability, and brand representation
Requirements
- 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a luxury or contemporary environment
- Strong business acumen with experience driving sales and managing store performance
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Experience with POS and inventory management systems; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods
- Ability to lift and move objects (20+ pounds) and perform physical retail tasks as needed

Salary
The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. The base salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
