Store Person
As a Stores Person/Porter, you’ll help keep the operation running smoothly by managing deliveries, stock, storage areas, and day-to-day porter duties. You’ll make sure everything is received, stored, organised, and delivered to the right place while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive, check, and manage food deliveries
- Check invoices and delivery notes and report any issues
- Process orders through the correct systems and approved suppliers
- Unload deliveries and rotate stock correctly
- Load cages and safely move stock using trolleys and cages
- Allocate stock to the correct storerooms and areas
- Maintain clean, organised kitchens, storerooms, fridges, and working areas
- Ensure food, equipment, chemicals, and cleaning materials are stored safely
- Complete Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork accurately
- Report hazards, accidents, near misses, and maintenance issues promptly
- Supervise the quality and correct storage of food supplies
- Support the wider kitchen and operations team when needed

- Previous experience in a Stores, Porter, Kitchen Porter, or similar role
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable approach
- Ability to take initiative and make good decisions
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and food storage standards
- Comfortable handling deliveries and moving stock safely
