About the Role
As Store Person you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Croft-an-Righ Storage Yard, St Ann’s Workshops stores, and Edinburgh Castle stores as well as coordinating the delivery and distribution of materials to the Maintenance and Conservation Unit (MCU).

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Croft-an-Righ Storage Yard, St Ann’s Workshops stores, and Edinburgh Castle stores.
- Receive, inspect, and record deliveries; ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient space utilization and easy access to materials.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits; report discrepancies and reorder materials as needed.
- Coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials to the Maintenance and Conservation Unit (MCU).
- Manage the movement and storage of scaffolding materials, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory control.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of storage facilities and equipment.
- Arrange for the repair and regular maintenance of all tools and equipment.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety standards within storage areas.
- Manage waste skips and recycling processes, including the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, deliveries and equipment usage.
- Be responsible for the use and management of a corporate credit card. Also the postholder will be able to raise requisitions and manage the PO process.

Essential:
- Full UK Driving License or if non-UK driving license holder, willingness to convert within first 12 months of employment
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective communication
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good time management
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office packages
- Valid Plant Operators Card Category A17 Telescopic Handler
- Knowledge of H&S procedures
