About The Role

Location: Site-Based (Hull) with UK-Wide Travel

Balfour Beatty is shaping the UK's energy infrastructure, delivering major transmission and distribution projects that support the nation's transition to a low-carbon future. We're looking for a Storeperson to join our Power T&D team, helping ensure materials, plant, tools and equipment are available when and where our projects need them.

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in supporting project delivery by managing site stores, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring operational teams have access to the equipment and materials they need to work safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

As a Storeperson, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of site stores and yard facilities, supporting project teams across a range of operational activities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing stock, plant, tools, consumables and PPE to ensure availability for project requirements.
  • Receiving, checking and issuing materials, equipment and deliveries.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and reporting stock levels, shortages and future requirements.
  • Coordinating the hire, acceptance and off-hire of plant and equipment.
  • Managing tool and equipment calibration, including lifting equipment.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries, replacements and damaged goods.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure and organised stores and yard environment.
  • Supporting project teams by ensuring materials and equipment are available to meet operational schedules.
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers, operational teams and supply chain partners to support successful project delivery.

Who we're looking for

We're seeking a proactive and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction or infrastructure environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy and service.

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working within a stores, warehouse, plant, logistics or construction environment.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach with willingness to travel and work across the UK when required.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing standards.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
