STORES ASSISTANT

Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-16:00

Salary: £32568.61

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 39 hours per week

Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 1UD

About the role

Working within the Hard Service team, you must be a highly motivated individual working as part of the Hard Service team delivering key support across the delivery functions on the contract.

You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining a premier client service in line with SLA’s and it is expected that the Stores Assistant will embrace and adopt an environment of continuous improvement and actively contribute to the success of the department.

The Stores Assistant may also be expected to both cross train & work within other Support Services Delivery Lines and the Client Services Team.

Within the HPC project agreement are KPI’s aligned to these services for which the post holder will be responsible for contributing to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide, check, and replace office consumables
  • Liaise with and collect deliveries from suppliers
  • Transport furniture and assets to/from storage
  • Deliver materials internally and submit checked stock paperwork to helpdesk
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse/stores environment
  • Manage stock rotation and stock take preparation
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Requesting and raising quotes
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Covering for Platform Supervisor during leave
  • Liaising with department leads and engineers to maintain stock levels and fulfill priority requests
  • Liaising with suppliers to schedule collections and establish ETAs for priority items

Essential Skills And Criteria

  • Ambitious, solutions-focused, resourceful, with strong interpersonal, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Must comply with the Data Protection Act.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled team and fulfill client requests
  • Comfortable with manual handling and competent using equipment (e.g., stair walker, sack trucks)
  • Valid driving license
