Contract & Salary: Will depend on current contract (IMC19 - £36633, or Standard Maintenance Contract £38482)

About The Role

A Rare Opportunity to Join Our Logistics Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Controller to support our Logistics Team by managing the day-to-day running of our stores.

Role

  • Strong organisational skills
  • An aptitude for administration and keeping things tidy

There will be some lifting and carrying involved, so a reasonable level of fitness is required - but don't worry, you'll have the support of a great team.

What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for controlling and coordinating the procurement, storage, issue/return, and recycling of plant, tools, equipment, and materials for the Infrastructure Maintenance group - ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work safely and in accordance with Safe Systems of Work, method statements, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate the procurement, processing, receiving, issuing, returning, and recycling of all plant, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels (including vehicle-based items) across all locations, maintaining cost control and efficiency.
  • Check that plant, tools, equipment, and materials are fit for use and stored/disposed of correctly.
  • Provide quarantine facilities for items not fit for purpose and arrange replacements.
  • Maintain safe and tidy store/stock locations.
  • Produce and maintain accurate records for stock, materials, plant, tools, and equipment.
  • Contribute to your own development and support the growth of others.

Your Experience And Skills

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hold and retain competencies relevant to the role as required by business needs.
  • Ideally hold (or be working towards) NVQ Level 1 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive vehicles as required.
