ROLE: Stores Operative

HOURS: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30)

LOCATION: Whitefield, Manchester

We are looking for a Stores Operative to join Vantage Lifting Solutions, part of Mitie Telecoms, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy stores operation in Whitefield, Manchester.

This is a hands-on role where you will help ensure the efficient receipt, storage, tracking and distribution of materials and equipment. You will play a key part in keeping the stores organised, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring operational teams have the equipment and resources they need to succeed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload and safely store deliveries.
  • Book goods in and out using the inventory management system.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and produce inventory reports.
  • Keep storage areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
  • Support the movement, handling and distribution of materials and equipment.
  • Assist with deliveries, collections and general labouring duties as required.
  • Support vehicle management activities, including vehicle tracking, vehicle checks and administration.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to carry out manual handling and physical duties.
  • Basic IT skills to support inventory and stock control processes.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence.
