Working as part of the supply chain team, the Stores Operative will play a key role in managing incoming deliveries, maintaining stock control and supporting production through timely replenishment of materials. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, organisation and a proactive approach within a busy environment.

The Stores Operative will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, checking and accepting deliveries of components and materials
  • Booking goods into the system and routing parts to the next stage in the process (e.g. inspection)
  • Storing materials in allocated locations while maintaining FIFO, traceability and handling requirements
  • Monitoring line-side stock levels and replenishing materials in line with Kanban or 2-bin systems
  • Conducting inventory checks and supporting stock accuracy through regular counts
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace in line with 5S and company standards

The Stores Operative will have:

  • Ideally some previous experience in a stores, warehouse or goods receiving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle precision or sensitive components.
  • Basic IT skills
  • Good numerical skills and stock control awareness.
  • Understanding of health & safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
