Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

Prime Appointments are pleased to be working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing company who are looking for a reliable Stores Operative to join their busy team.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering goods in, stores, dispatch and supporting the production team. The successful candidate will ideally have previous stores or warehouse experience, be confident using a computer system and hold a full UK driving licence.

The Stores Operative Role

  • Receiving deliveries and checking goods against paperwork
  • Booking stock onto the computer system
  • Reporting any damaged, missing or incorrect items
  • Moving stock to the correct storage locations
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift
  • Supplying materials and parts to the production team
  • Keeping stock organised and assisting with stock checks
  • Arranging deliveries to subcontractors and booking couriers
  • Preparing parts for collection and dispatch
  • Carrying out local collections and deliveries when required
  • Keeping the stores and dispatch areas clean and tidy
  • Supporting with general warehouse and stores duties as required

  • Previous experience within a stores, warehouse or goods-in environment
  • Knowledge of Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
  • Confident using computers and stock systems
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Reliable, practical and willing to get involved
  • Full UK driving licence is required
  • Previous forklift experience would be advantageous
