Join Our Team

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Stores Operative to support the day-to-day running of our stores and warehouse. You will help ensure materials and equipment are received, stored, and prepared accurately, contributing to an efficient and well-organised operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stores and warehouse duties – carry out general stores and warehouse tasks, keeping work areas organised and materials stored safely.
  • Picking and packing – pick, check, and pack materials and equipment accurately in line with orders and dispatch requirements.
  • Goods in – receive incoming deliveries, check items against delivery notes, and report any discrepancies or damage.
  • Preparing goods – prepare materials and equipment for collection, dispatch, or internal use, ensuring they are correctly identified and ready on time.
  • Stock handling – handle and move stock carefully, following safe working practices and any relevant manual handling procedures.
  • Teamwork – work with colleagues to support daily warehouse priorities and maintain an efficient service.

Candidate Requirements

  • Reliability – dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and agreed procedures.
  • Attention to detail – able to check deliveries, pick items accurately, and identify discrepancies.
  • Organisation – able to keep stock and work areas orderly and manage tasks effectively.
  • Practical approach – willing to undertake hands-on stores and warehouse duties, including handling materials and equipment.
  • Teamwork and communication – able to communicate clearly and work positively with colleagues.
  • Safety awareness – committed to following workplace health and safety requirements and handling goods responsibly.
  • Experience – previous stores or warehouse experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are also valued.
