Role Overview
Stores Assistant is an exciting position with growth opportunities. Reporting to the Stores Team Leader, the role is based in a storeroom environment and working at a computer. The daily workload varies in size and variety, and tasks are dynamically assigned to the team to meet daily targets. The parts handled include thousands of small components, printed circuit boards, metalwork, cables, fixings, and connectors, some of which require special handling.
Shifts: Monday - Friday (no weekends)
Core business hours: 8 am - 4 pm
Key Accountabilities
- Kitting of work orders.
- Goods-inwards inspection and receipt.
- Cyclical stock taking.
- Stock adjustments and transfers of various types.
- Bin management, including assigning new locations.
- Final inspection and despatch of finished goods.
- Sub-assembly packing and bin transfers.
- Ensuring operational procedures are followed by all departments concerning stock.
- Assisting in hatch enquiries and logistics for other departments.
- Carrying out general Stores administration work.
- General support of other departments if required, possibly including light assembly tasks.
- Keep personal skills and knowledge up to date and attend training if required.
- Assisting despatch during high output periods.

Desirables
- Very good numeracy and problem-solving

- Good general computer skills (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Windows)
- Experience working in a stores or warehouse environment.
- Experience of working with an ERP/stock system
- Experience working in or around manufacturing environments.
Location
This role requires you to work on-site at our modern manufacturing facility in Hereford - Before applying, please make sure you can commute to Coldwell Radio Station, Madley, Herefordshire, HR2 9NE
