Position
Job Purpose
The Goods In Operative is responsible for receiving, inspecting, recording, and storing incoming goods safely and accurately. The role ensures that deliveries are processed efficiently, inventory records are maintained, and stock is available for the production and packing team while adhering to company procedures and health and safety standards.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or quality issues and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record goods received using the mobile scanner.
- Label, store, and organize stock in designated locations following stock rotation procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts and audits.
- Prepare and issue stock to internal departments as required.
- Operate material handling equipment (pallet trucks, forklifts, and PPT where licensed).
- Keep the stores area clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Dispose of packaging materials responsibly and maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work collaboratively with purchasing and production to ensure efficient stock flow.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve stores efficiency.

Other Information
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00
- Salary: £13.35 per hour with a 20-minute paid break per day
