Job Title: Stores Operative
Reporting To: Stores Supervisor
Department: Stores
Shift: Continental Shift Pattern - Pink Shift
2 weeks day shift then 2 weeks night shift
3 days on x 4 days off then 4 days on x 3 days off
Shift start at 6AM and 6PM
Location: Lantmännen Unibake, Wallis Way, Eastcotts, Bedford, MK42 0PE
Main Purpose of Role
We’re looking for a motivated Stores Operative to ensure the efficient handling and accurate storage of all incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging, maintaining compliance with LUUK specifications, food safety, and health and safety standards.
This Is What You Need To Succeed
You will be great at:
- Safely unloading and inspecting incoming deliveries.
- Efficiently managing and organizing stock using mechanical handling equipment (MHE).
- Consistently maintaining inventory accuracy and stock rotation.
- Quickly identifying and responding to product discrepancies or quality issues.
- Working collaboratively and effectively as part of a dynamic team.
- Managing accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials.
- Conducting and documenting regular temperature checks and quality inspections.
- Handling non-conforming materials in collaboration with the Quality Department.
- Ensuring timely delivery of materials for production needs.
- Accurately recording transactions in the AX ERP system to maintain inventory integrity.
- Assisting in stock counts and maintaining meticulous records.
- Adhering strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper PPE usage and waste disposal.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts and cross-functional teamwork.

You Are
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
- Physically fit and able to perform practical warehouse duties.
- Comfortable working within ambient (8°C) and chilled environments.
- Committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic workplace.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

You Have
- At least 2 years of relevant warehouse experience.
- Proven experience operating Reach and counterbalance trucks.
- Familiarity with AX ERP or similar inventory management software.
- Solid understanding of logistics processes including goods-in handling and stock rotation.
- Basic educational qualifications including proficiency in English and Maths.
