Stores Person – Boatbuilding Yard (Immediate Start)

This role combines general workshop housekeeping, basic stores support, and driving duties.

No previous experience is required; full training will be provided.

The position is open to all applicants, and a valid driving license is essential.

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week – 8-4.30pm
  • 8 hours per day – 5 days per week
  • Location: Lymington

We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Person to join our busy boatbuilding yard in Lymington. This is a hands-on role supporting our workshop teams by ensuring materials, tools, and components are stored correctly and available when needed.

Key Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence – essential.
  • Forklift certificate – desirable, but training can be provided.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English to a good standard.
  • Basic Excel skills are useful; training can be provided.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a workshop/yard environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Receiving deliveries and checking goods in.
  • Issuing materials and components to boatbuilding teams.
  • Maintaining tidy, safe, and well-organised stores areas.
  • Updating stock records and simple spreadsheets.
  • Supporting workshop operations as required.
