Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:00, Friday 07:00 - 15:00

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Stores Person to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) team at HMP Wymott.
At Amey, we support His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by delivering facilities management services that help create safe, secure and efficient environments across the prison estate. Our work directly supports the smooth operation of prisons, ensuring staff, visitors and prisoners have the facilities and resources they need every day.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and experienced team where your contribution will make a real difference. You'll play a vital role in managing stock, supporting operational teams and helping maintain the efficient running of the prison.
What You Will Do
- Manage and maintain stock levels, ensuring materials and equipment are accurately controlled and readily available.
- Deliver goods and supplies across the prison site in a safe, secure and timely manner.
- Support the effective operation of the stores function by maintaining accurate records and inventory data.
- Supervise and support prisoners working within the stores, promoting safe and productive working practices.
- Collect materials and supplies from local suppliers when required to support operational activities.
- Help ensure stores processes remain organised, efficient and compliant with prison procedures.
What You Will Bring
- Experience working within a stores, warehouse, stock control or inventory environment.
- Confidence working collaboratively with a diverse range of people, including prisoners.
- Good IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and stock information.
- A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Manual handling knowledge or experience (desirable).

Security Clearance
Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will be required to complete Prison Security Clearance and a Standard DBS check. Amey will support you through the clearance process.
