Location:
Bournville, Birmingham. B30 1JR

Working Hours:
Full Time or Part Time: 7.30am - 4.00pm with some flexibility over the working days.

About the Company:
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major electrical and mechanical installations within the food processing industry. The range of work carried out by the company includes:

  • Process pipework and plant installations
  • Planned and preventive maintenance
  • Environmental services
  • Many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Stores Person - Stores Controller to join the electrical engineering division on a part-time or full-time basis, supporting a major contract in Bournville, B30 1JR.

Duties

As a suitably experienced stores person you will be working on site at a food production facility in Bournville, B30 1JR. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Organising and distributing the materials and plant used in large electrical installation projects.
  • Taking delivery of cable, lighting units, containment, transformers, and general consumables.
  • Storing materials safely and securely in the stores.
  • Moving materials to the area where the electrical installation works are taking place when required.
  • Processing delivery notes in line with the company's procedures.
  • Other duties may include:
    • Driving the works car/small van to collect materials from suppliers.
    • Assisting the electricians with basic electrical duties as necessary and as instructed.

About You

Location:
Based ideally in Bournville, you will need to live within a short commutable distance of B30 1JR.

Experience:
Demonstrable experience within a stores or materials control role is preferred although full training will be given.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 3 points is essential.

Role:
The stores role is part-time; however, additional electrical mate duties could be arranged working alongside the site electrician's if you wanted to work full-time. Previous commercial electrical experience would be required for this additional work.
