Location: Kintore, Aberdeenshire

Job Type: Temp-to-Per, Full Time

Salary: £12.71–£13.00 per hour

The Role

Activus Recruitment is supporting a well-established engineering business in the Kintore area by recruiting a Stores Person to support their operations and assembly teams.

This is a hands-on role responsible for receiving, storing, controlling, and dispatching materials, components, and finished goods. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate stock control, and timely supply to internal departments, all while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming goods in line with company procedures, including safe loading and unloading
  • Check deliveries for accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving discrepancies where required
  • Correctly label and tag all incoming stock to ensure full traceability
  • Record all stock movements accurately and in a timely manner using internal systems
  • Liaise closely with the Assembly Supervisor to meet daily production and material requirements
  • Pick, prepare, and load customer orders, ensuring correct documentation and safe handling
  • Carry out stock takes and cycle counts, reporting discrepancies and supporting investigations
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment at all times
  • Comply fully with Health & Safety policies and procedures and actively contribute to a positive safety culture

  • Previous experience in a stores or warehouse-based role
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety practices
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment

Skills & Competencies

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a safe and organised manner
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills

Qualifications

  • Forklift licence – preferred but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
