FLT Driver / Stores Person
Working on behalf of our client based on a site in Wrexham, we are currently recruiting for an FLT Driver / Stores Person.
Key Duties:
- Set up a new engineering stores facility from scratch
- Build the inventory system from the ground up: cataloguing parts and consumables, assigning part numbers and locations, and recording opening stock levels
- Carry out an initial stock take and establish ongoing cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy
- Receive, inspect and book in deliveries, checking goods against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies or damage
- Issue parts, tools and consumables to engineering staff, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded
- Set minimum and maximum stock levels and re-order points, raising purchase requisitions as needed to avoid shortages and overstocking
- Liaise with engineers, maintenance teams and suppliers to understand demand and keep critical spares available
- Manage ongoing day-to-day running of the stores, keeping the area clean, organised and safe
- Handle returns, quarantined items and obsolete or surplus stock in line with company procedures
- Operate a Forklift Truck to safely load, unload and move stock, carrying out daily pre-use checks

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
- FLT Counterbalance Licence
- Previous stores or warehouse experience
- Ability to work safely within an industrial/site environment
- Reliable and proactive approach to work

- Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
- £15 per hour
- Weekend working available on an ad hoc basis as required
