Stores Supervisor

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd.
To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent

As part of our new Service & Maintenance contract, RWE is recruiting a Stores Supervisor to be responsible for inventory management supporting maintenance activities across 160 offshore wind turbines. This includes the management of service kits, tooling, consumables, PPE and waste management activities at the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm.

Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the Stores Supervisor will also have responsibility for their own team of four dedicated stores personnel.

About the role

  • Lead, mentor and develop Stores personnel, conducting regular performance reviews and supporting ongoing competency development; manage and support stores team with daily tasks.
  • Prepare operational procedures and processes for receiving, tracking parts, tools, consumables and PPE.
  • Develop a robust warehousing strategy to minimise waste and ensure stock accuracy; manage logistical equipment to move stock around the warehouse.
  • Create and implement a waste management plan in coordination with customer requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast stock requirements to support operational readiness.
  • Create service bundles and kits using agreed picklists; work closely with operational team to ensure accuracy of pick lists.
  • Ensure inventory transactions, stock movements and consumption records are accurately maintained within SAP; communicate purchasing requests to avoid servicing delays.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all stores activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

Job requirements and experience

  • High coordination, self-motivation and effective communication skills; effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work within a small team and manage competing demands.
  • Understanding of offshore operational requirements; experience with offshore wind farm stock management and logistics operations.
  • Experience supervising warehouse or logistics personnel.
  • Understanding of COSHH and hazardous materials handling.
  • FLT Counterbalance qualification.
  • Good Microsoft Office IT skills; knowledge of SAP or similar stock management systems; strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
