Stores Supervisor
Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £36,346 basic per annum + £2,720 shift allowance + £1,200 annual bonus (paid quarterly)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday initially, transitioning to shifts from approximately October. MON-FRI, 9-5 (or similar) until approximately October, when it will be likely to move to a 554 shift pattern (7am-7pm - 5on, 5off, 4on / 5off, 5on, 4off).
Shift allowance is paid from the outset and covers occasional weekend working
The Opportunity
Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced Stores Supervisor to join a busy military aviation maintenance operation based at RAF Brize Norton. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with stores or logistics experience to take on a leadership role within a fast-paced aerospace environment supporting the maintenance of the A400M Atlas aircraft fleet.
Working within an MAA Part 145 approved organisation, you will supervise day-to-day stores operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, control, storage, and issue of aircraft parts while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Stores team to ensure efficient operational output
- Allocate resources effectively to meet workload demands
- Receipt and process incoming aircraft parts accurately using the AMOS system
- Issue parts to engineering teams and support maintenance activities
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, and security of aircraft components and materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records and system data
- Manage stock levels and support stock control activities
- Process unserviceable returns and serviceable spares following maintenance
- Place orders for aircraft parts and liaise with suppliers as required
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and security procedures across the Stores function
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional duties as required
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven team leadership or supervisory experience, including mentoring and supporting colleagues
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, including lifting and manual handling procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working in an aviation stores or aerospace logistics environment
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and chemical handling procedures
- Dangerous Goods by Air certification (current or recently expired)
- Familiarity with aviation inventory management systems such as AMOS
