Role: Stores Team Leader
Location: Worksop, S80 3AT
Hours: 40 hours per week | between 07:00 and 15:30 Monday to Friday
Hourly Rate: Up to £18.50 ph DOE
Are you an experienced stores, warehouse or inventory professional who enjoys supporting teams and leading by example? We're looking for a Stores Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of our stores operation, helping to ensure materials are available when needed, standards are maintained and the team is set up for success. Acting as a key support to the Stores Supervisor, you'll play an important role in driving safety, quality and operational performance across the department.
As a Stores Team Leader, you'll help coordinate activities within the stores function, provide guidance and support to colleagues, and step in to deputise for the Stores Supervisor when required. You'll be a visible presence on the shop floor, helping to resolve issues, promote best practice and maintain high standards across the team.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the stores function and deputise for the Stores Supervisor when required
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them understand priorities and achieve objectives
- Help identify and resolve operational issues that could impact quality, delivery or efficiency
- Support continuous improvement activities and encourage positive working practices across the team
- Monitor quality standards and support investigations and corrective actions when required
- Work closely with colleagues across Operations to help achieve production and business targets

- Experience working within a stores, warehouse, stock control or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of inventory management and stock control processes
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a workplace environment
- Experience working to deadlines and managing changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues at all levels
- A positive attitude and willingness to support, guide and motivate others
- Experience leading, coaching or supervising a team would be advantageous
- Familiarity with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing or 5S principles would be beneficial
- Good IT skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems
