Stores Warehouse Operative 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
Salary: £19,621 - £30,610 Depending on experience + benefits
Location: On-site, Emerson’s Green, Bristol
Full UK driving license required. Must be over 21 years of age to be eligible for insurance purposes to drive the company van as a requisite of the role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience in stores, logistics or engineering environments who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on role. The candidate will be reliable, hardworking and energetic.
About The Role
As our Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the Stores warehouses and associated areas. This will include movement and issuing of materials, tooling and consumables across NCC HQ, maintain the yard, and self-service areas, Goos in/Out, picking as well as safety and cleanliness.
You will also play a vital role in lifting and handling equipment control, dispatch activities, logistics support and maintaining a safe, organised and compliant working environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Unloading deliveries, allocating warehouse space and informing recipients.
- Coordinating forklift movements and storing goods safely in accordance with NCC procedures
- Maintaining stock control, replenishing consumables, recording usage and low stock requirements with the Stores Manager
- Preparing and completing dispatch of outgoing goods, including packaging, paperwork and loading
- Supporting logistics, including courier arrangements and van-driving to support business needs
- Carrying out regular 5S activities to ensure stores and wider HQ areas remain clean, organised and compliant
- Working collaboratively with project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely material flow
- Travel to our other sites daily transferring materials in the company van.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in warehouse operations ideally in a manufacturing or logistics stores environment.
- Forklift Licence B1 as a minimum
- Full clean driving licence
- Be organised and work methodically and without supervision
- Punctual, strong team player with an attention to detail
- Computer literate
You’ll also be someone who:
- Takes initiative and is comfortable navigating non-routine or uncertain situations
- Communicates clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers
- Builds trust by completing tasks accurately and on time
- Supports others across the stores function, contributing to continuous improvement
- Is confident recognising safety risks, understanding COSHH considerations and supporting improvements in safe working practices
- Is proactive in maintaining high standards of housekeeping, compliance and quality
