Stores / Warehouse Operative

Coventry Temp to Permanent Position

Are you an experienced Stores or Warehouse Operative looking for your next opportunity? Do you thrive in a busy environment where organisation, stock accuracy, and efficiency are key? If so, we have an excellent opportunity to join a growing and successful manufacturing business in Coventry.

As a Stores/Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring materials, components, and finished goods are accurately received, stored, and dispatched. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, logistics, or stock control experience who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving incoming deliveries and checking materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Booking goods into stock and accurately recording inventory movements.
  • Storing materials in designated warehouse locations whilst maintaining a well-organised stores area.
  • Picking and preparing materials for production and customer orders.
  • Packing and dispatching goods in line with customer requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Conducting regular stock checks and supporting inventory control activities.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records using warehouse or ERP systems.
  • Operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely where required.
  • Ensuring warehouse and stores areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working within a stores, warehouse, logistics, or stock control environment.
  • Good understanding of goods-in, goods-out, stock management, and inventory control processes.
  • Experience using stock control or warehouse management systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work.
  • Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance or Reach) desirable but not essential.
