Principle Accountabilities Of The Role

  • Manage the arrival of raw material on site, unloading and moving into storage.
  • Carrying out material checks, ensuring material is marked and identified correctly and GRN’d.
  • Receiving and booking in all goods arriving on site.
  • Informing personnel their products have arrived via email / telephone.
  • Implement and maintain book in/ book out system.
  • Ensure material is stored in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Management of scrap sorting and itemising, weighing to maximise income and managing removal from site. Ensuring the area and bins are kept in a clean maintained fashion.
  • Preparation of closed die bar, launch in bar identities and required batch sizes delivery to the closed die forge.
  • Transporting material to the large and small forges to meet launch plan.
  • Support annual stock count.
  • Coordinating deliveries of consignment stock.
  • Prepare subcontracted products for collection or shipment

Additional Accountabilities

  • Prepare subcontracted products for collection or shipment.
  • Pack products in line with Customers specification.
  • Ensure test pieces are despatched according to Customers’ requirements.
  • Load up collection vehicles with packed products for despatch.
  • Pack product in line with customer specification ready for despatch.
  • Support Fork Lift activities throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Support annual stock take.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Computer literate
  • Experience of driving FLT

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience working in a Stores role.
  • Experience of working within heavy manufacturing
