About The Role

The Storesperson in Glasgow will support the Works Management team on a temporary 12-week assignment with Manpower UK. This role focuses on maintaining smooth maintenance store operations through precise stock control and safe equipment handling.

Duties include checking deliveries for damage, booking items into the system, issuing and replenishing stock, and keeping storage areas organised. You will update records with supplier and cost details, inspect tools and plant equipment regularly, and coordinate repairs. Strong attention to accuracy and good communication with colleagues are essential. Pay reaches £15.00 per hour.

This position suits someone with prior stores or warehouse experience who works methodically and can manage varied administrative tasks alongside physical duties.

Storeperson

Location: Glasgow

We are looking for a Storeperson to join our client on an initial 12-week assignment in Glasgow. Working as part of the Works Management team, you'll help keep the maintenance store running smoothly by maintaining accurate stock control, ensuring safe handling of equipment and materials, and providing excellent service to colleagues.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Receiving and checking deliveries for accuracy and damage, then booking items into the stores system
  • Issuing, recording and replenishing stock while keeping storage areas organised and efficient
  • Updating stock records, including item details, supplier information and cost
  • Carrying out regular inspections of plant, tools and equipment, recording findings and arranging repairs where required
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve shortages, defects or damaged deliveries
  • Keeping the stores area clean, tidy and well organised
  • Responding to enquiries from store users

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or stock control role would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
  • Experience using stock control or stores management systems.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Additional Information

  • Based on-site in Glasgow.
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Initial 12-week assignment.
  • Full-time position
