Story and Illustration Lead — Talebrix
A child says what they want a story to be about. Talebrix writes it, draws it, prints it and binds it. We’re looking for the person who decides what good looks like and holds that standard across every book the machine makes.
This is a founder-level role. Your judgement must be built into the system so thousands of books meet the standard of a picture book you would happily find in a bookshop.
What you’ll own
- Story quality and structure across eight reading levels for ages 1–8.
- Illustration direction and consistent characters across 26 pages and future books.
- Preserving the child’s original idea in the finished story.
- Page design, typography and page turns for printed 148 × 210 mm portrait books.
- Quality checks that catch weak books before printing, and ways to measure quality at volume.
- Age-appropriate content: nothing frightening, nothing that lands badly, and nothing that pretends to be a child’s friend. Talebrix is not a companion.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The work ahead
Between now and December, define the bar and prove it with finished books at different ages, good enough for parents to buy and investors to understand. Through 2027, work directly with the builders to turn your judgement into reading levels, illustration direction, character rules, page and type design, and quality checks. Then keep improving the range, develop new Story Worlds and Story Packs, and help prepare for the UK, Europe and US. How illustrations behave in ink on card is yours too.
Who you are
You have made things where taste was the product: children’s publishing, illustration, picture book editing, animation, games, or an editorial role judging work produced by a system. You can defend your opinions with a specific book and explain why one version is better than another.
If you have judged machine-generated work and decided what ships, tell us. You don’t need to be technical or build the machine, hardware, factory or model plumbing. You do need to explain your judgement in a way an engineer can act on.
