A leading Investment Bank is seeking a Strat/Commando – QIS and Equity Derivatives to join their team in London.
Overall purpose
As part of the Global Equity Commando team, the main role of this Strat (commando) position consists in developing and maintaining Front Office tools for the QIS activity (prototyping/ backtesting of new strategies, data-integration). This Strat will also support Structuring and Trading to improve pricing efficiency/ automation.
Main responsibilities
QIS Support – in collaboration with QIS Structuring team
- Participate in the development of the backtesting/ prototyping infrastructure for the QIS framework.
- Provide local support to Front Office.
- Contribute to the development of a framework that links calculation processes with trading infrastructure.
- Offer ongoing tactical solutions for post-trade support on QIS initiatives (e.g., Premialab, client reporting, etc.).
- Replication of structured products used in the risk sharing business and their pricing models associated with them.
- Build tools for monitoring of QIS strategy risk.
- Implementation of index rulebooks.

Trading Support - in collaboration with Dispersion Trading team
- Contribute to the development of the calibration and pricing tools.
- Provide local support.
Support Structuring to increase pricing efficiency / automatisation
- Help to review and increase speed of pricing calculations.
- Test and apply new pricing methodologies for use in QIS and or trading.

Market data ingestion
- Aid in maintaining a cartography of available market data.
- Integration of new data sources for historical and live simulations of strategies.
- Assist in designing the process that is used to transform and clean market data.
Job Requirements
- Strong proficiency in coding (Python, VBA, C#).
- Strong technical background with Basic option and future pricing skills.
- Excellent communication skills (fluent in English).
- Entrepreneurial / start up spirit.
- Willingness to take ownership of tech solutions and advance them beyond the initial scope.
- Ability to adapt and apply already built solutions to solve new problems.
