Strategic Account Director

£75,000–£90,000 basic + double OTE + £6,000 car allowance
Location: UK-wide, with national customer travel

Beaumont is partnering with one of the UK’s leading managed service providers to recruit a Strategic Accounts Director.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the business’s most strategically important customers, alongside the scope to build and lead a dedicated team around you.

The opportunity:

You’ll inherit a portfolio of approximately 20–25 established, high-value customers whose relationships are currently managed directly by the CEO and Chief Commercial Officer.

Working closely with customer leadership teams, you’ll understand their business priorities, strengthen the partnership and develop long-term account plans that support retention and profitable growth.

You’ll have a broad portfolio across managed IT, Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and modern workplace. Strong technical consultants, professional services and delivery teams will support you in customer conversations, solution development and delivery.

Reporting to the Sales Director for Account Management, you’ll also help shape the strategic accounts function. You’ll assess the portfolio, identify the resources needed and establish a consistent approach to managing these customers, with scope to recruit, coach and lead senior account managers as the function develops.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
