Overview
Profession: Sales
Creates and leads strategies for high-impact/high-profile accounts that yield high-volume sales and open new opportunities for both Microsoft and its partners that are aligned to goals, outcomes, and forecasts. Proactively builds and expands strategic network of key internal and external partners and decision makers to ensure execution of core tasks and account transactions, and to provide a comprehensive account management experience. Develops a broad and deep understanding of customers' industries and priorities to identify opportunities to drive optimizations and new digitalizations based on customers' strategies. Understands customer drivers of business and technology transformation and leverages deep knowledge of customer's business to engage internal teams to accelerate co-innovation and digital transformation and strategy. Cultivates, leverages, and manages a strategic set of relationships and uses Microsoft business-value sales strategies throughout multiple levels of the customer's organization to establish strong alignment on long-term goals and secure buy-in and execution. Leverages a strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, and strategy to generate insights, provide thought leadership, and address customer's needs and translate needs into Microsoft solutions.
Manages the development and application of a mature/dynamic customer plan based on proven methodologies to manage a sustainable, long-term business portfolio. Collaborates across organization and partners in discussions to impact the broader ecosystem (e.g., passing legislation). Leverages close relationships with leaders (e.g., senior leaders, C-level executives) of the assigned account and the broader ecosystem to shape long-term strategic direction and influence business metrics. Expands strategic customer relationships to drive larger impact for the customer and spread into other areas of the organization. Anticipates issues/risks on customer satisfaction, determines the root cause of problems, removes blockers, and establishes recovery action plan to improve customer's overall experience. Owns the development of strategies that showcase the value added by Microsoft's innovative cloud offerings and ideas grounded on a deep understanding of industry trends and based on account needs and customer's expectations. Leverages internal network of industry experts to strengthen knowledge of the industry, competitors, and customer business priorities and leverages in-depth knowledge of Microsoft's offerings to share knowledge internally, influence customers' business capabilities, drive more competitive solutions, and enhance growth of the account team.

Responsibilities
Account Management
- Own and execute multi-year strategic account plans to grow revenue and identify new opportunities.
- Build strong relationships across the customer, partners, and internal teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver against customer priorities and commercial goals.
Competitive & Industry Knowledge
- Bring deep banking and industry insight, understanding customer priorities, market trends, and competitors.
- Position solutions clearly against customer needs and competitive alternatives.
Customer Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with C-level and senior decision makers.
- Understand the customer’s business strategy and identify where technology can deliver greater value.
- Expand relationships and influence across the wider organization.
Sales Excellence
- Identify, develop, and close large, complex technology opportunities.
- Lead strategic conversations across cloud, AI, data, security, and digital transformation.
- Create compelling business cases and value propositions that drive investment and long-term growth.
Strategic Leadership
- Act as a trusted strategic adviser, challenging customers and bringing new ideas.
- Connect customer business priorities with technology strategy.
- Navigate complex stakeholders and mobilise partners and internal teams to deliver results.

Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications
- Significant experience selling technology solutions to large Banking customers.
- Strong experience engaging and influencing C-level executives.
- Proven experience closing large, complex technology deals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong track record growing strategic enterprise accounts and developing new opportunities.
- Experience selling cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and data solutions.
- Proven ability to build long-term trusted adviser relationships with senior customer leaders.
Strategic Account Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 120,100.00 - £ 202,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
