Job Description

As a Strategic Account Director you will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth across all Crawford & Company UK&I service lines. This is a senior, externally facing growth role with a clear mandate to shape market strategy, unlock new opportunities, deepen senior client and broker relationships, and help position Crawford as the partner of choice across the UK insurance market.

The role sits within Client Services and reports to the Chief Client Officer, working in close partnership with the Head of Key Clients. It will collaborate across the UK Executive Leadership Team, P&L leaders, practice leads, operations, finance and marketing to align growth opportunities with client needs, operational capability and Crawford’s wider commercial strategy.

  • Support the Chief Client Officer and Head of Key Clients to influence, build and execute a compelling UK&I growth strategy aligned to Crawford & Company’s overall business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritise target opportunities.
  • Lead new revenue initiatives, including new service lines, proposition development, sector expansion and opportunities to create or open new markets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and insurer strategies to inform commercial decisions.
  • Be an active ‘market presence’ for Crawford sales activity on social media and industry forums.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
