About the Role

The Strategic Account Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing and growing relationships with Pacvue's key global clients. This role involves driving client success through innovative strategies, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and achieving business growth targets.

Responsibilities

Commercial Oversight

  • Own and grow the commercial relationship with global enterprise accounts, with outcomes that materially impact overall company revenue.
  • Exercise independent judgment on decisions that extend beyond the account itself to influence broader go-to-market strategy.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the client organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for global clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Provide voice of the customer feedback to the Product Team and broader organization.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Independently set strategic direction for the global account portfolio with minimal oversight, reviewed only on major outcomes rather than plan execution.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and create tailored solutions to meet customer needs.

Business Expansion

  • Proactively seek expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Build and lead a formal cross-functional network spanning Sales, Product, and Finance; may direct the work of junior account team members on expansion initiatives.

Financial Support

  • Support strategic account budget management, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Ensure profitability and revenue growth through effective financial planning.

Market and Industry Analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to clients based on market analysis.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Typically 12+ years of experience in account management or sales within the CPG industry, including a track record of global, enterprise-level ownership.
  • Recognized subject-matter expert in global CPG account strategy, relied on to evaluate intangible risks and opportunities that general strategic thinking alone can't resolve.
  • Proven track record leading resolution of significant, unique account challenges that have no established playbook — requiring judgment calls with company-wide visibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
