The Role

This is a strategic individual contributor sales role focused on driving new business and expanding relationships for Rimes across the European market. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a regional sales strategy, building senior-level client relationships, and positioning Rimes as a trusted partner for data management, operational transformation, and investment infrastructure modernization.

Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, deep industry expertise, strong executive presence, and the ability to engage complex buying committees across asset managers, asset servicers, and other institutional investment organizations.

You will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Client Success, and Sales Engineering teams while serving as the voice of the client in helping to build the Intelligence Fabric for Capital Markets.

What You'll Do

  • Drive Regional Growth

    • Lead sales and business development efforts for Rimes Investment Data Services across EMEA.
    • Develop, execute, and continuously refine a regional sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
    • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within targeted institutional investment markets.
    • Expand existing client relationships through strategic cross-sell and upsell initiatives.
  • Engage Senior Decision Makers

    • Leverage existing C-suite relationships and industry networks to create and advance sales opportunities.
    • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders including CEOs, COOs, CTOs, Heads of Operations, Heads of Data, and Investment Operations leadership.
    • Navigate complex decision-making units and buying committees within institutional organizations.
    • Represent Rimes at industry conferences, client events, and executive meetings.
  • Utilize Consultative Solution Selling

    • Understand client operating models, data challenges, and front-to-back investment operations.
    • Consult with prospects on enterprise data management, operational architecture, and technology transformation initiatives.
    • Articulate the value of Rimes Investment Data Services and associated solutions through compelling business and technical discussions.
    • Deliver professional presentations and communicate complex concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences.

  • Influence GTM and Product Strategy

    • Maintain deep awareness of market trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving client needs.
    • Provide market feedback and client insights to Product Management and senior leadership.
    • Partner closely with the Product team to help shape and execute the strategic vision for Rimes Investment Data Services.
    • Support go-to-market initiatives and contribute to thought leadership within the investment management community.
  • Manage Pipeline & Forecasting

    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
    • Manage sales activity with discipline, rigor, and consistency across all stages of the sales process.
    • Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management practices.
    • Utilize CRM tools effectively to track activity, update pipeline status, and provide reliable business visibility.

Who You Are

  • Industry Expertise

    • Deep understanding of financial markets, market data, analytics, investment management technology, and outsourcing operations.
    • Strong knowledge of asset management, asset servicing, and institutional investment operating models.
    • Familiarity with data management solutions, investment operations workflows, and front-to-back technology architectures.
  • Experience

    • 10+ years of experience selling high-value ACV software & data solutions managing multiple internal/external stakeholders.
    • Proven success selling data management technology solutions, financial technology platforms (TPV, Index Related, Private Markets preferred), or outsourcing & managed services into institutional financial markets.
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and expanding relationships within the buy-side community.
    • Experience engaging senior executives and building long-term strategic partnerships.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise software, market data, analytics, and managed services sales cycles.
  • Commercial Excellence

    • Consistent record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Highly proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
    • Tenacious, resilient, and motivated by winning new business.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a rigorous sales process and maintain forecast accuracy.
    • Skilled at opportunity qualification, stakeholder mapping, negotiation, and deal execution.

    • Demonstrated experience utilizing CRM platforms (Salesforce.com, Clari) to manage pipeline, forecasting, customer engagement, and reporting.
    • Strong technical understanding of financial products, market data ecosystems, and technology platforms.
    • Ability to leverage partner relationships and capabilities to drive commercial success.
