Account Executive

Summary

We are seeking a talented Account Executive to drive and own opportunity development and revenue generation across key Strategic accounts (10,000+ employees) supporting our Stack Internal solution. Stack Internal is the homebase for mission-critical knowledge sharing and collaboration, enabling our customers to find the information they need to stay on track, meet launch deadlines, and drive innovation.

What you’ll do

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers, driving retention, renewals, and expansion for Stack Internal.
  • Develop and execute account plans that align customer priorities with opportunities to deepen adoption, expand use cases, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Build relationships across executive sponsors, technical leaders, and key stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor on enterprise knowledge and AI context.
  • Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities across teams, business units, and geographies, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Partner with Professional Services, Solution Engineering, and Product to drive adoption, demonstrate value, and address risks to customer retention and growth.
  • Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations, and maintain accurate forecasts for renewals and expansion.
  • Help customers use Stack Internal as a trusted context layer for their people, AI assistants, and agents.
  • Bring customer insights into our account management playbooks and product roadmap, advocating for the needs of our strategic accounts.

What we expect from you

  • 5+ years of enterprise SaaS sales or account management experience, with a track record of retaining and growing strategic customers at organizations with 10,000+ employees.
  • Demonstrated success owning complex enterprise relationships, leading renewals, and closing expansion opportunities while consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • A consultative, relationship-driven approach, with the ability to connect customer business priorities to measurable outcomes and long-term value.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans, navigating complex buying processes, and building relationships across executive sponsors, technical leaders, procurement, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills, including experience managing enterprise contracts and maintaining accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to earn credibility with C-level stakeholders and collaborate effectively across Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Legal.
  • Curiosity about enterprise AI, knowledge management, and developer workflows, with the ability to explain how trusted organizational context supports productivity and more reliable AI.
  • The initiative and adaptability to manage a portfolio independently, prioritize competing demands, and follow through in a dynamic, remote environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across account planning, customer commitments, and pipeline management.
  • Enthusiasm for Stack Overflow’s evolution and Stack Internal’s role as a trusted context layer for enterprise teams, AI assistants, and agents.
