We are the people who give possibilities purpose

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

At BD, one of the world's leading medical technology companies, we're advancing the world of health™ by partnering with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and support healthcare transformation.

We are looking for a highly strategic and commercially driven Strategic Account Manager to lead growth across key NHS organizations and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) throughout South East England and London.

This is a high-impact role focused on building executive-level partnerships, driving enterprise-wide opportunities, and accelerating growth across some of the UK's most influential healthcare systems. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of strategic NHS accounts across London, Oxford, and the wider South East region.

The Opportunity

Working across BD's broad portfolio, from medical devices and consumables to digital health, robotics, and enterprise solutions, you will help position BD as a trusted healthcare transformation partner.

Success in this role requires a consultative, value-based approach, moving customer conversations beyond products towards long-term strategic partnerships that deliver meaningful clinical and operational outcomes.

Your key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic, multi-year account growth plans across priority NHS Trusts and ICSs.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with NHS executives, hospital CEOs, ICS leaders, procurement teams, finance directors, and clinical decision-makers.
  • Identify, shape, and advance enterprise-wide opportunities aligned to customer priorities and BD's portfolio of solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deliver integrated customer strategies and programmes.
  • Drive collaboration across multiple BD business units to maximize customer value and revenue growth.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements and long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Develop stakeholder mapping and executive engagement strategies across healthcare systems.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and SFDC reporting.
  • Position BD as a strategic partner in healthcare transformation and innovation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
