Job Summary
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of assigned clients, building strong long-term relationships, and identifying opportunities to increase sales and profitability. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, the role combines account management, commercial development, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement to drive client satisfaction, revenue growth, and business retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of assigned clients to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, coordinating requests and resolving commercial, operational, technical, and account-related issues.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts.
- Conduct regular client meetings, visits, and virtual engagements to strengthen relationships and gather market intelligence.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to build relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze client performance, sales trends, and KPIs to identify opportunities for increased revenue and market share.
- Prepare client reviews, business updates, and commercial proposals based on data-driven insights.
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage account activities and maintain accurate records of client interactions, meetings, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are addressed effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to support strategic account planning.
- Support the achievement of commercial objectives through proactive account management and business development activities.
- Participate in regular coaching, training, and development activities to continuously enhance commercial and relationship management skills.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Account Management, Strategic Account Management, Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role.
- Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and develop growth opportunities.
- Experience analyzing performance data, KPIs, and sales trends to drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working cross-functionally.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
- Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings, trade shows, and business development activities.
- Fluent English, written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous.
