Overview

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Strategic Account Manager - Specialty Lines supports the identification, evaluation and delivery of strategic growth opportunities across Pen. The role provides commercial, analytical and project delivery support across strategy, business development, M&A, market analysis and strategic change initiatives.

Working with stakeholders across Pen, Gallagher and external partners, the role combines strategic thinking with practical execution to support business growth, operational improvement and long-term value creation.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Support the development and delivery of Pen's strategic priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Identify, assess and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships and strategic investments.
  • Undertake market, competitor and commercial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Support acquisitions, due diligence and other corporate development activities.
  • Develop business cases, strategic recommendations and executive-level presentations.
  • Support the mobilisation and delivery of strategic projects, maintain project governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement where necessary.
  • Produce Board, Executive Committee and Steering Committee materials.
  • Build strong relationships across Pen, Gallagher and external stakeholders to support strategic objectives.

Essential

About You

  • Experience in business development, strategy, consulting, corporate development, project management or a related commercial role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Experience preparing business cases, presentations and executive-level reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.

Desirable

  • Experience within insurance, MGA, delegated authority or broker environments.
  • Exposure to M&A, due diligence or strategic partnership initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the London Market and insurance distribution landscape.
  • Experience supporting business transformation or new venture activities.
