What You'll Be Doing

  • Build, manage and own commercially successful relationships with brokers and intermediaries to drive new business growth and retention.
  • Own a portfolio of broker accounts, overseeing both open market business and delegated authority schemes to maximise performance and profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting specialists and internal teams to provide exceptional broker service, effective risk selection, and profitable outcomes.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, managing senior stakeholder relationships and maintaining a strong market presence with key industry contacts.
  • Deliver profitable growth by identifying new opportunities, monitoring broker performance, managing CRM activity, supporting renewals, and achieving retention and new business targets.

What you'll need to have

  • Previous experience in an Account Management or Broker Development role within the General Insurance market
  • Ability to lead on and develop Strategic Accounts
  • Highly credible and commercially focussed with a strong reputation in the general insurance market for delivery and service.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent sales, communication, negotiation & presentation skills
  • Knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns and ability to identify such opportunities
  • Chartered Insurance Professional (Preferential)
